Here’s the latest in what will probably be the most useful series of articles for VDO fans.
Having tackled so far:
‘It Don’t Pay To Be An Honest Citizen’
‘Hotel Paradise’ (the short film from the ‘Erotic Tales’ Series)
‘The Investigator’ (the short film from the ‘Perverse Destiny’ Series)
Now we pursue the made for ABC 1998 TV Movie ‘The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three’
Before you figure you’re going to have to find someone in the USA who taped this from the original US broadcast on ABC back in early 1998, check this out
Notice the legend in the lower left corner. This is a VCD from Movie Magic Sdn Bhd in Malaysia (57604 VE 644 UPC #5761000260409)
The back cover looks like this:
Now you see why I wanted you to learn about VCDs in the post for ‘The Investigator’ – this can be watched on the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive of your computer or (probably) in your DVD player! The VCD is in English and does not have any subtitles.
Another option for VDO fans in Europe is to go out and look for a PAL VHS tape from Germany called ‘Pelham Bay Park’ but I do not know if this tape’s soundtrack is in English or if it has been dubbed into German (I don’t have a copy in my collection and even if I did, I don’t have a VCR that plays PAL VHS tapes). It looks like this:
Happy hunting!
I was wondering if you were willing to make a copy of Pelham on vcd for me? Please contact me to discuss it. I bought Guy on vhs and have a different cover for it, if you care to post it on your blog. BTW…GREAT blog!!
